I can't say that I'm fond of that meme, the one where you pick 10 people from your friends list and say something about/to them and never reveal to whom it is directed (insert schoolgirl giggle here). If you intend to criticize or offend or bring up some sort of issue, why choose such a forum? If you intend to thank or compliment or admire, why not do it so the recipient can feel shiny and special and loved?

It doesn't matter what the list actually says; if it's someone I care about writing the list, I either think I'm on it in the bad column or not on it in the good column. I realize that says much more about me than it does the person writing the list. But I envy those people who don't think that way.

So here are ten things that are not directed to anybody on my friends list. Rejoice, you're not on here!

    10 Things I Didn't Say To You (14 June 04)
  1. I will never forgive you. Bitch.
  2. You consistently bring out the worst in me. But it's still not as bad as the worst in you.
  3. If you really missed me, you would do something about it.
  4. I am sick to death of listening to you put down other people for doing things that I do. Bite me.
  5. If I never have to see your face again, it will be too soon.
  6. I wasn't kidding when I said that I would be happy to put you out of your misery. To rid the world of you, I would do it.
  7. I suspect that you hate me, and it makes me want to cry.
  8. I don't know you very well, and I don't care to.
  9. Your idea of friendship makes me want to gouge out my eyes.
  10. I love your shoes.
